《克萊歐》探索擴增實境(AR)介入表演藝術的場域,透過虛實疊合的方式在舞台上創造新媒體應用於劇場的敘事,試圖打破舞台與觀眾之間的界限,讓觀眾透過虛實交織的安排沉浸於作品的敘事中。
This project explores the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) into the realm of performing arts. It attempts to break the boundaries between the theater stage and the audience, immersing viewers in the narrative through the blending of the virtual and the real. By blending the virtual and the real on stage, it aims to create new narratives through the application of new media in theater.
構想草圖 | Concept Sketch
《克萊歐》靈感來自法國新浪潮導演安妮.華達的經典電影《五點到七點的克萊歐》,聚焦於女性在私密時刻的自我對話與成長。本作品延續了電影中女主角克萊歐的角色,探討當代克萊歐所面臨的女性議題,以頭部顯示器中的AR舞蹈和舞者的實體交織,展現克萊歐在女性形象與真實自我之間的內在拉扯與矛盾。作品中也藉由不同的觀看方式,使觀眾在窺探女主角內心世界的同時,成為整體劇場的一部分。
Cleo is inspired from the classic film Cléo de 5 à 7 by French New Wave director Agnès Varda, focusing on women’s self-dialogue and growth during intimate moments. The work continues the character of Cléo from the film, exploring the gender-specific challenges faced by the modern Cleo and portraying the inner conflict and contradictions between Cleo’s female image and her true self through AR dance compositions in the head-mounted display that intertwine with the live dancer’s choreography. The work explores different viewing methods, allowing the audience to become part of the overall theatrical experience as they peer into the protagonist’s inner world.

AR互動畫面 | AR Interaction Scene
觀眾在體驗期間可以透過前後移動的方式調整VR眼鏡內視線範圍的大小,每位玩家的視野都會被圓形的遮罩遮擋,觀眾需要聽從女主角克萊歐的指令,去站在適當的距離取得最完整的視野。
During the experience, the audience can adjust the size of the visible field within the VR headset by moving forward or backward. Each player’s field of view is obscured by a circular mask, requiring them to follow the instructions of the protagonist, Cleo, and stand at the appropriate distance to obtain the most complete perspective.
當玩家前進靠近房間時圓圈會變大,退後會縮小,但有時候是相反的。作品中希望透過這個互動機制回應人們如何選擇觀看女性的距離和角度,希望透過趣味互動的方式再現女性形象的社會議題。
When players move closer to the room, the circle enlarges, and when they step back, it shrinks. However, sometimes the opposite occurs. This interactive mechanism aims to explore how people choose the distance and angle from which to view women, using playful interaction to address societal issues surrounding the portrayal of women.
場景設計 | Scene Design
《克萊歐》目前仍然是階段性開發的作品,期望未來基於這個原型去發展不同型態的作品呈現。讓克萊歐可以是存在於美術館,也可以存在於劇場中的具備過度空間特質的新形態XR作品。
Cleo is currently a work in progress, still in its developmental stages. The aim is to build upon this prototype to create various forms of presentation in the future. The vision is for Cleo to exist as a new type of XR work with transitional spatial qualities, capable of being experienced in both exhibitions and theaters.
